The genuine romance of Advent in the Wildkogel-Arena

Peaceful timeout in Neukirchen & Bramberg

Those who visit the Wildkogel Arena for skiing in the pre-Christmas season can look forward to more than just carving through the snow; they’ll experience a time filled with quiet traditions and living customs. After a day on the slopes, visitors can stroll through the stalls at the Bramberg “Advent a de Berg” at the village pavilion or the Neukirchen Advent , where lovingly handcrafted items and regional products are offered.

During a “Schermtax” Advent hike with storyteller Iris Unterhofer, participants can listen to enchanting tales of “dancing snowflakes and shimmering starlight” along the lantern-lit path. Even the biggest Christmas skeptics will find themselves in the holiday spirit.

A yearly highlight of the Advent season is the Advent reading by the cultural group “Schreib’s auf” in the Tauriska Kammerlander Barn. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere while enjoying original poems and Christmas stories, gently drawn into the magic of this peaceful time of year.

The captivating atmosphere of a Neukirchen Advent

The Neukirchen Advent takes its visitors into a world full of tradition and craftsmanship, reflecting the customs of the Pinzgau region. The lovingly decorated stalls invite you to linger and offer a variety of regional and handmade treasures – from fragrant Advent wreaths to natural wooden toys and artistic ceramics. Christmas readings set the mood for the quiet season. For children and animal lovers, the small petting zoo with donkeys and goats creates bright smiles and unforgettable moments. A magical experience awaits with a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride, where powerful Noriker horses pull through the wintry landscape.

The Advent market along Neukirchen’s main street is complemented by a sparkling artificial ice rink, where young and old can try their hand at graceful skating.

A “slightly different” Advent can also be experienced in Bramberg. The “Advent a de Berg” promises an experience for all the senses. Upon arrival, the scent of hot apple punch, freshly baked Germbladln, roasted apples and sweet Christmas Schmarren fills the idyllic park at the Bramberger Dorf Pavilion. At the festively decorated stalls, visitors can discover everything that makes the Christmas season so special: fine glass art, handcrafted nativity scenes, incense for atmospheric rituals, lovingly knitted and felted creations, as well as soothing natural products such as ointments and juices.

Musical magic is provided by brass ensembles, the popular Zellberg Buam, Die Fetzign and Tauern Echo, who create a festive atmosphere with their Advent sounds.

A special highlight is the romantic Advent hike along the lantern-lit path, where storyteller Iris Unterhofer (“Schermtax”) enchants young and old alike with her Christmas tales.
