The Wildkogel Arena is the ideal starting point for a variety of cycling adventures in the SalzburgerLand. Nestled amongst the peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park, you’ll find scenic high-altitude trails, leisurely valley cycle paths and challenging mountain bike tours.

From Neukirchen and Bramberg, the routes lead into impressive side valleys such as the Habachtal or the Sulzbachtal, combining sporting challenges with a unique experience of nature. The Wildkogel high-altitude hiking area, at over 2,000 metres, offers ideal conditions for panoramic tours with sweeping views. Modern e-bikes make even longer distances a breeze and ensure that the panoramic views always take centre stage.

E-biking in the Wildkogel Arena

E-bikes open up new possibilities and extend the range of every ride. You can easily tackle longer distances, gentle climbs and scenic routes.

The area around Neukirchen and Bramberg is perfectly suited to e-bike riders and offers ideal conditions for relaxed yet spectacular rides.

These inns and alpine huts are equipped with charging stations provided by our partner BOSCH and by Shimano. Whilst your bike is recharging, you can also recharge your batteries on the sun-drenched terraces.

Combine cycling with a cable car ride

The Wildkogel mountain railways make it particularly easy to access the high-altitude hiking and cycling area. Tours start right at the panoramic viewpoint and lead through the impressive mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern. The National Park

Perfect for mountain bikers and e-bike riders

The Wildkogel Bike Trail offers uninterrupted cycling fun throughout the Wildkogel Arena. The route runs from Neukirchen via the Gensbichl valley station to the Wildkogelbahn mountain station, thereby closing the final gap for a continuous cycling experience between Neukirchen, Bramberg and the Wildkogel.

The trail boasts a maximum gradient of 13 per cent, making it ideal for both sporty cyclists and e-bike riders. At the Wildkogelbahn mountain station, there is a charging point for e-bike batteries in the mountain restaurant. So simply pop in and recharge your own energy while the e-motor charges.

Hohe Tauern Cycle Trail
As only a few sections are above 2,000 metres above sea level, most parts of the route are usually open from mid-May onwards. Depending on the severity of the winter, there may be variations on higher sections. Perfect for multi-day tours on an e-MTB, gravel bike or mountain bike.
