“NPHT: Wildalm – High Above the Habach Valley and Untersulzbach Valley”

The tour begins at the Neukirchen sports field, where the Salzach River is crossed first. Following the cycle path and then a forest road, it continues upward along the "shadow side" of Neukirchen. The ranger shares interesting information about the forest, its functions, threats, and what the valley looked like in its original condition. At about 1700 meters – upon reaching the Wildalm – the terrain opens up more, providing views down into the Salzachtal. The Alm has been managed by an association for a few years now – a new concept in a traditional Alm.
