Your Host
Marlene Steiger-Brugger
For more than 50 years, the name Steiger in Neukirchen am Großvenediger has stood for heartfelt hospitality. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation.
Sepp and Grete Steiger, the parents of Christian – Hotel Steiger – and Marlene – Vacation Home Maximilian – are still almost daily found in the hotel. The numerous regular guests, who have accompanied the hotel and the holiday apartments for many years, greatly appreciate this.
In 1994, the vacation home Maximilian was acquired and renovated by Sepp and Grete Steiger. Since 2013, Marlene and her husband Christian Brugger, along with their sons Maximilian and Tristan, have been at the helm – always warm, down-to-earth, and passionately dedicated to the guests.
Marlene is a trained hotel and hospitality assistant and spent a year abroad in Australia in 1999. In 2005, she completed her diploma as a certified wellness alpine trainer. As a hiking guide, snowshoe guide, Nordic walking instructor, and much more, she enjoys many beautiful hours with guests in nature. Her area of responsibility includes the vacation home with all its facets and the office work for her husband Christian.
Her husband Christian Brugger is a trained electrician and passed the master examination in 2009. Since 2018, he has been the owner of the electricity company August Lechner OG and also works as the operations manager for the lighting cooperative in Neukirchen. As a state-certified ski instructor, ski guide, and state-certified ski trainer, the passion of the entire family is predestined.
The Steiger-Brugger family greatly appreciates and enjoys nature and life in the Hohe Tauern National Park. They spend as much time as possible in nature as time permits.
