“NPHT: Wildgerlos Valley – Across the Roaring Gorge to the Melcher Meadows”

The hike begins at the Finkau Inn, following a well-maintained path to the Leitenkammerklamm. Viewing platforms provide an impressive insight into the world of the gorge. Along the brook, water ouzels as well as brook and alpine wagtails can be observed. From Trisslalm (1,584 m), the path leads us further into the valley to the moraine from 1850. The tour focuses on the shaping power of water, glaciers, and typical high mountain vegetation. The return journey is on the same route.
Difficulty: Moderately difficult summer excursion on well-maintained trails with a destination above the valley floor;
