The ascent of the Grossvenediger via the mountain’s north side is one of the great alpine tours of the Hohe Tauern range. You, too, can climb this majestic edifice and cross the mightiest glaciers of the Eastern Alps.

Returns: to Neukirchen at about 5 p.m. on the 2nd day
Minimum Participation: 5 people (max. 8 people)
Event Dates: 22 June - 28 September 2013
Day One: from the base station of the freight lift to the Kürsingerhütte approx. 2 hrs.
Day Two: assault on the summit, depending on weather conditions, 4-5 hrs., descent back to the hut approx. 3 hrs., descent to the freight lift 2 hrs.

Includes:
Fee for the mountain guide, taxi transportation from Neukirchen to the base station of the Kürsingerhütte freight elevator, as well as return to Neukirchen on Day Two; Rucksack transport on the freight lift to the Kürsingerhütte and return on Day Two; Dinner, lodging and breakfast at the Kürsingerhütte; Loan of special equipment (rope harness, crampons); Venediger Tour T-shirt & certificate High-mountain tours are led exclusively by state-certified, international mountain and ski guides. Appropriate equipment (clothing, footwear, protection from the sun and cold) along with good physical conditioning are absolutely essential!

Those who wish to head ever onward and upward are definitely on the right track here in and around the Hohe Tauern National Park. Like a ladder into the sky, the park’s “Haute Route” leads up into the peaks, revealing seemingly endless vistas. Making your way with a rope and ice axe, watched over by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll manage to conquer nine 3,000-metre peaks in just a six-day tour.
You’ll spend 2 nights in Neukirchen and 5 nights at airy elevations in hikers’ shelters. It goes virtually without saying that good conditioning is absolutely indispensable for extraordinary high-Alpine adventures such as these. The reward for all your efforts: that unique bond forged between mountaineers, and the once-in-a-lifetime nature adventures of the high mountains!
